Well, I got the word that I'll be the new Photography columnist over at *dAZine! I am rather excited about the whole idea of being a regular contributor for an awesome dA magazine. I have a few articles in mind, as well as two that I drafted up as part of the application process. I'll definitely be giving updates as we get to work on future issues, as well as occasionally poll for topic ideas in addition to any that `Nestalgica and *GoaliGrlTilDeath want me to put in. So far, I've got lighting techniques and the Photojournalism process as the two all ready written, and I'm probably going to write a draft article on HDR photography. I'm always open to ideas, so drop me a line!

In other news, I bought a new Targus Circular Polarizing filter for my camera. Unfortunately, it's stuck. I put it on once and now I can't get it off for the life of me. The top, glass part spins on its own, and the grip is very, very thin and small beneath it, where it's attached to the lens. Until I can get a filter wrench from my local shop, it's pretty much stuck on there, and I'm not going to break it and spend another $20 to get a new one. It's all ready placed one Band-Aid on my left finger from a nasty screwdriver accident where I attempted to pry it off with force. The only other option would be to break the glass. Sad faces.

I at least have a gray card now, though. I've been building accessories for Big Rig, but I guess that's on hold until I can get the filter off. Once I do and can get a remote shutter, I'll see about taking some more funs elf-portraits. I need a baseball bat and red cap for some awesome Scout TF2 action, but we'll worry about that when they get here, eh?
