Very cool perspective.
-- dA Gallery | Flickr | A Day in the Light Does that mean it's legal to operate external devices while driving in America, or were you just breaking the law.
In any case, this looks quite clean, although perhaps a little dark. It looks a lot like an Australian highway - I had no idea America had long, flat, straight stretches of road: I thought that was characteristic of Australia. I have no idea if it was legal, but if you don't tell, I won't tell!
Most of the Western US is desert and prairie region. There are a ton of long and flat stretches until you get through to the Rocky Mountain region. Route 66 was particularly known for being long and flat, as it was the first highway to go really cross the US all the way to the Pacific Ocean. If you saw Pixar's "Cars," that was loosely based on Route 66 and the Interstate System that followed. Tons of ghost towns along it now. -- Proud Senior of *Thumbshare My Prints: [link] Yeah, the pavement was a very dark brown-black. Route 66 is one of the older highways still under operation, and it's right in the middle of the desert.
Also, by "taken from a car window," it means I wrapped the camera's wristband around me, stuck the camera next to the side of the car while I was driving, and snapped it like that. Just don't tell anyone -- Proud Senior of *Thumbshare My Prints: [link] |
